Today a bunch of new apps were updated/released. I thought I would round them up here.
Tweetbot 2.4 for iPhone and iPadMacstories has an article detailing the new features in the best Twitter client for iOS. The search screen has been completely redesigned and you can create keyword mute filters.
Facebook Camera for iPhoneA while ago, Facebook released a standalone Messages app for iPhone. And now, they’ve done the same for a camera app. This app is nicely done, well designed, and there are no webviews! Scrolling performance on A4 processors is not smooth, however.
Coda 2 for MacThe long awaited web development text editor for the Mac. Everything has been improved. However, these days I use Sublime Text 2 for most text editing work. 50% off on launch day, so if you want it, snap it up now.
Diet Coda for iPadA nice little app that will let you make quick edits on the go. Connects via FTP/SFTP directly to your server and lets you edit HTML, CSS, etc. Has the tabs and sites feature from desktop Coda, but it doesn’t let you create sites offline. A nice tool to have as a backup.
Pulp for Mac and iPadI’ve been beta testing this app for a while. This update to Pulp is quite nice: there’s a brand new smart home page, which analyzes trends and shows important articles in groups. Plus, Pulp now syncs over iCloud. Pulp is currently selling at a discount.
Xtrail for iOS (Universal)Xtrail is a really sweet fitness app for iPhone and iPad. Using your iPhone’s GPS, it tracks distance, climb, pace, etc. and displays this data in widgets and maps. This would be really handy, because I run/bike every day. Unfortunately, I don’t have an iPhone.
Jetpack Joyride for iOS (Universal)Jetpack Joyride apparently received a huge update today. I deleted this game months ago, but you should definitely check out their trailer.
So, quite a few new apps to check out. Go forth and explore!
